Role Purpose:Responsible for the overall daily management of the Operations department related to all Cargo operations, ensuring the operation is kept up to date and is always compliant in accordance with the Regulations to ensure the daily support for the Company’s strategy and on time performance is maintained.Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities of the role:Responsible for oversight and control of daily Operations requirements related to Cargo Operations, Messaging and Compliance. Supporting on-time performance and operational deliveryResponsible for Customer, Crew and Dispatch liaison for flight scheduling and flight related issues when requiredMust work closely with third party providers to support the delivery of the processes, procedures and dispatching of aircraft to the expected One Air and client standardsReview Flight Confirmations, Flight Briefs and Final Briefing packagesResponsible for reviewing any flight planning provided by the third-party provider and feedback enhancements as per the AOC regulations and the customers’ requirementsReview all operational set ups that they comply with national authority regulationsResponsible for monitoring Flight Dispatch tasks carried out by third party providers as per the agreed requirements, National Authority Requirements and delivered in line with the Service Level Agreement.Compliance monitoring in all areas of dispatch delivered by the third-party providerEnsure a Pro-Active and timely response to feedback any communication, set-up, planning discrepancies with the third-party providers, crew and clientsMonitor all flight set ups to make sure compliant with all flight time limitations as set out in OMA chapter 7 for each AOCOperational Systems administration to reflect One Air client requirementsDeliver a safety culture and raise safety issues where and when required by the official channelsFulfilling any required task of the One Air AOCs in relation to Ground OperationsEnsuring correct input of operational and flight related dataMonitoring the scheduling of flights and flight followingAssisting in travel and transport requirements where requiredSending of activity reportsProcessing, reviewing of post flight paperwork where applicableEnsuring the appropriate standards of safety and security are achieved in line with corporate requirements, government legislation and international best practiceResponsible for handling critical issues in a timely manner through liaison with crew, station managers, load masters, airport authorities and internal departments to effectively deal with potential barriers to effective operationsExcellent communications ensuring all communication channels are effective both with all external and internal stakeholders connected to cargo operations, including customer service teams, to ensure effective operational deliveryResponsible for targeting the reduction of cargo handling issues, and their consequencesResponsible for ensuring they maintain an in-depth knowledge of company operations, documentation, regulating authority requirements, relevant systems and procedures.Key skills , knowledge, Experience required: (i.e. those required to fulfil the role, including qualifications):Must have a sound knowledge of the English language, both written and spokenExcellent and a very comprehensive knowledge of applicable regulations with respect to Dispatch Procedures, Ground Operations, Customs, Dangerous Goods and SecurityA comprehensive knowledge of IATA and IOSA standardsPrevious experience with a good knowledge and familiarity with aviation management systemsMust have had at least three years relevant work experienceHas a proven ability to plan and organise often fast moving ever changing operational needs on a daily basisExcellent interpersonal and all-round communication skills with the ability to problem solve under pressure whilst ensuring the operation is fully supportedExcellent team and customer focus skillsKnowledge of the LEON flight software systemExperience in using the PPS flight planning systemDispatchers Licence would be desirable but not essentialWhat we offer:An annual salary of £44,000, holiday allowance of 33 days including bank holidays, 8% Company pension contribution, Employee Assistance Programme, Life Assurance (3x annual salary) and Private Healthcare Insurance after successful probation.Any additional relevant information:The post holder will be required to work 42 hours per week on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern and be flexible with working hours.
