The Technical Solutions Engineer (Ad Technology) will be experienced with critical service operations and possess an ability to solve complex technical projects and provide a high-level of customer satisfaction whilst working cross-functionally with developers, sales, product and operations teams.The role requires an individual well-versed in ad technology and distributed systems, with demonstrable experience in the monitoring and stability of the ad ingestion, validation and asset review processes.Role RequirementsAssist with owning day-to-day technical operations for the Ad Platforms Technical Operations team.Ensure monitoring and alerting on production services are in place, and be available on-call for production incidents and new product launchesTriage, respond to and de-escalate inbound escalations (tickets) in a timely manner while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and client satisfactionInvestigate complex issues, diagnose product bugs, and resolve requestsHelp develop strong partnerships with sales, support, engineering, and product management to drive focus on strategic and tactical channel objectivesMaintain detailed support documentation for both internal and external use to strategically identify, distribute and execute Standards and PracticesContribute to the development of best practices, team processes, and peer training of asset ingestion and review processesRequired Skills & Experience7+ years of experience working on ad-serving workflows in an enterprise Ad Server (e.g. Google Ad Manager, Freewheel or similar system)Experience in ad technology, operations, support or incident managementStrong experience of online video and display advertising and monetizationDeep understanding of technical video, XML, VAST 2.0, VAST 3.0 and transcodingprocessesWorking knowledge of digital video experience and/or digital asset managementDeep understanding of technical video and audio specifications (e.g. video bitrates andcodecs)Fluency in SQLExperience with AWS Athena, DynamoDB, MySQL, Snowflake, or HiveWorking knowledge of monitoring platforms (e.g. Cloudwatch, Datadog or similar platforms)Experience managing a support ticket queue in JIRA, Zendesk, or similar systemFor more information or immediate consideration for this opportunity, please contact Charlie Grant at CPS Group UK on 02920 37 55 99 or email cgrant@cpsgroupuk.com
