Lancet Labs is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the role of Admin Clerk-Data Capturer in the Central Region. This pivotal position demands exceptional accuracy and efficiency in data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate Data Capturing: Ensure meticulous entry of patient information and medical aid details from Dr’s report forms to guarantee precise processing.
- Timely Data Management: Capture data promptly to maintain the highest quality outputs.
- Resource Management: Order and manage stationery to ensure an uninterrupted workflow.
- Switchboard Assistance: Support switchboard operations for seamless functionality.
- Patient Registration: Log patient registration forms into the computerized database as per SOPs, ensuring reliability in patient results.
- Specimen Dispatch and Monitoring: Oversee the dispatch and progress of specimens for processing, adhering to standard operating procedures, and ensuring timely delivery of reports.
- Administrative Support: Address and resolve administrative queries and customer complaints swiftly.
- Courier Tracking: Monitor specimen delivery by couriers, ensuring timely processing and result delivery.
- Process Improvement: Identify and resolve bottlenecks in pre-analytical processes.
- Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and prepare equipment according to SOPs.
- Stock Management: Monitor and order stock to ensure availability of necessary materials.
- Customer Interaction: Uphold principles of customer care, maintaining professional and ethical interactions.
- Reception Management: Manage the reception area, direct clients, and provide relevant information while delivering excellent customer service.
- Cash Handling: Handle patient payments and ensure banking procedures are followed.
- Incident Reporting: Log customer complaints and problems, and action tasks on the laboratory information management system in compliance with organizational policy.
- Uniform Protocols: Adhere to Lancet’s uniform standards and protocols.
- Specimen Storage: Ensure specimens are electronically scanned for easy access.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Waste Management: Follow waste removal policies and procedures.
- Training: Facilitate training for new staff and maintain training records for continuous development.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Grade 12 or relevant NQF level 4 qualification.
- Experience: 0-1 years of relevant working experience.
- Technical Skills: Computer literacy, knowledge of laboratory information systems, and understanding of organizational policies and procedures.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to cope with nervous or distressed patients, work under pressure, and function as part of a team.
- Personal Attributes: Attention to detail, excellent communication, confidentiality, customer orientation, empathy, flexibility, interpersonal skills, adherence to rules, business numeracy, and resilience.
