Reporting to Senior Process Engineer
Job Purpose
To provide process engineering and project support, as well as to continuously contribute to the improvement of existing processes and procedures within the field of expertise.

Research And Development
- Researches new technical solutions (Electronic, Embedded).
- Researches possibilities of proposed technologies (Electronic, Embedded).
- Develops prototypes for testing and researched solutions.
- Designs and programs embedded systems for developments.
- Executes costing and BOM’s development projects.
- Manages R & D projects.
Projects
- Designs solutions to various projects.
- Designs electrical and control systems; electronic and schematics for projects.
- Designs and programs PLC’s and computer applications for projects.
- Executes costing and BOM’s for projects.
- Manages projects.
Factory Breakdowns
- Assists on breakdowns regarding PLC, electronic and embedded systems.
- Debugs and fixes electronic PCB boards.
Process Engineering And Documentation
- Performs feasibility studies on all aspects relating to processes and equipment.
- Performs statistical analysis of processes.
- Keeps abreast with technological developments/advancements in the industry.
- Assists with process-related problem solving and root cause analysis projects.
- Develops and updates process-specific checklists.
- Develops and manages Core Tools for areas responsible for.
- Updates process documentation.
- Creates relevant documentation for new processes.
Compliance
- Operates within controls and procedures in order to ensure the integrity of the company.
- Identifies and monitors risks within own department and area of responsibility.
- Assists in the maintenance of a risk register, reports discrepancies or areas of concern to management.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and policy frameworks to prevent fruitless, wasteful and irregular expenditure.
Customer Service Management
- Maintains effective working relationships with customers (both internal and external) towards rendering the highest quality of services.
- Represents the company in meetings with relevant stakeholders.
- Identifies and solves problems creatively whilst demonstrating a high level of integrity in line with the company's core values.
- Reports to Management on internal stakeholder related matters.
- Maintains relationships in accordance with policies, procedures and legal, as well as stakeholder management system requirements.
Cost And Financial Control
- Contributes to the budget preparation process.
- Promotes and communicates the effective, efficient, economical and transparent use of financial and other resources.
- Monitors and controls expenditure against budget and ensures spending occurs within budgetary limits and company's financial guidelines, reports deviations to direct Manager.
- Explores opportunities to control and reduce costs.
