To deliver effective sales, manage customer inquiries and provide exceptional service while exceeding stakeholder expectations through proactive communication, personalized support and ensuring timely deliveries.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 NQF level 4 - 5
- Knowledge of Macsteel Trading products is essential.
- Three years’ experience in an internal sales (steel environment) is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages would be advantageous)
- Prepared to multi-task and work overtime when required.
- Working knowledge of SAP and other ERP systems
- Strong computer literacy - MS Outlook, Word, Excel
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure effective and efficient sales delivery to satisfy customer needs.
- All aspects of internal sales including handling of incoming sales calls, preparation of quotations and processing of customer’s orders.
- Managing and responding to customer questions and queries.
- Provide information on product availability and price.
- Exceptional customer interaction and service levels.
- Follow up with customers to ensure completion of order requirements.
- Day to day liaison with stores, operations, distribution and customers.
- Ensure sales targets are maintained or exceeded as set by the business unit.
- Ensure GP margins are maintained as set by the business unit.
- Communicate product requirements to purchasing department.
- Liaise with production and distribution to ensure on time delivery.
- File documents per procedure.
- Collate and submit reports.
- Run data exception reports and take corrective action.
- Conduct document control spot-checks.
