Looking for a qualified Safety Officer to oversee the Health and Safety of the manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities
- Conduct internal Audits, Inspections, HIRA and put control measures in place
- Develop and implement SOP/ WI
- Conduct Incident Investigation and attend to all IOD and COIDA claims
- Arrange for all SHEQ training on site and off site
- Ensure that Contractors comply with safety management requirements
- Plant walks with management
- Managing all legal appointments and assist with legal compliance
- Ensure continuous improvement in the Safety compliance on site
- Submit weekly SHEQ Reporting
- Chair Health and Safety meeting and the committee
- Manage and minimize risks
- Issue all work Permits to employees and contractors
- Assist with capex projects and ordering for personal protective equipment
- Inspect equipment and complete the registers
- Environmental Management
Experience And Qualifications
- SAMTRAC certification and Grade 12
- 3 - 5 years' experience in Health and Safety
- Experience with IMS Internal Audits will be an advantage
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 & 45001
