Sales Consultant
Our client, a leader in the manufacture, distribution, and provisioning of innovative packaging, is looking for a Sales Consultant with a minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, specifically with experience approaching manufacturing companies. Please do not apply if you do not have experience approaching manufacturers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing customers by profiling and identifying value-added applications within the accounts.
- Align industries in the manufacturing sector to our current successes.
- Adopt and implement our sales process regarding research, lead input, and moving customers to planning activities.
- Set up constructive appointments for value-based discussions.
- Populate the pipeline platform and guide them to their natural conclusion in generating revenue streams for company growth.
- Be motivated, self-driven, and prepared for intensive sales functions.
- Develop reporting and monitoring mechanisms highlighting local and international competitor activities and market movements.
- Analyze market potentials, track sales, and status reports.
- Meet and exceed sales budgets (volume & revenue).
- Establish, promote, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Comply with the company’s planning, reporting, and customer management structures as determined by management.
- Assist with the quarterly Stock Stake.
- Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum of three years’ sales experience in the industrial sector.
- At least a matric pass + Higher Education.
- Must have own vehicle, cellphone, and laptop.
- Knowledge of the Syspro System or a similar ERP system.
- Microsoft Office literate.
- Good verbal communication skills with relevant key points.
- Ability to construct relevant structured reports.
- Sales skills, including CRM or sales process experience.
- Self-confident while remaining composed under pressure.
- Expressive and passionate about committed tasks/projects/products.
- Ability to deal effectively with all levels of customer interaction (from buyers to production/maintenance staff to operational managers and senior management).
- Effective listener to extract specifics in problems and solutions.
- Inherent ability to develop lasting personal relationships.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute accordingly.
- Prospecting/Business Development experience.
- Ability to prioritize tasks/workload.
- Ability to take control (inception to analysis) of product/process trials.
- Ability to prepare ahead of tasks (research/analysis).
