Sales Manager - KZN Area
We are looking for a dynamic sales manager within the KZN area. You will be responsible for:
- Driving and achieving sales volumes, distribution, pricing, stock pressure, and forwarding display objectives in accordance with expected standards.
- Having a passion for sales, integrity, being highly motivated, and able to drive for results.
Duties & Responsibilities
You must be able to deliver on the following:
Volumes and Market Shares
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual volume targets.
- Identify volume opportunities.
- Identify problem areas and implement corrective steps.
- Manage pricing as per standards.
- Monitor opposition activity and implement reactive and proactive steps.
- Achieve availability targets.
Financial Control and Credit
- Manage expense accounts as per agreed standards.
- Ensure that all discounts offered fall within the defined parameters.
- Manage promo activation and stock budget.
- Communicate all credit risks and irregularities in trade to Management.
- Ensure that pods and credit notes are returned timeously.
People Management and Personal Development
- Ensure each member of staff has a job description and a clear understanding of all expectations.
- Hold monthly meetings with each staff member to discuss individual performance and objectives for the following month.
- Conduct performance reviews annually.
- Assess staff's training needs.
- Hold weekly team meetings to review progress and discuss future strategy.
- Organize team building and goal setting sessions.
Promotions
- Ensure correct implementation of promotional strategy.
- Design and implement innovative promotions.
- Provide promotional feedback.
- Ensure promotions are innovative, get people's attention, and capture their interest.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- You must have a Degree/Diploma in Sales Management.
- Must have 6 years of related sales experience.
- You must have strong leadership and people skills, effective communication, sales and negotiation skills, time management, the ability to create sales plans, and administrative reporting.
- You must be passionate about sales, integrity, highly motivated, able to use initiative, and results-driven.
