Chief Sales Officer (CSO) R80 to R100 000 incentives
A Solar and Electrical Company is seeking a Chief Sales Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets, market expansion, geographic expansion, and long-term growth.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, setting clear goals, providing guidance, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Performance Management: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs, to drive continuous improvement.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities and potential risks.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners, ensuring maximum extraction of value.
- Negotiate prices, marketing contributions, product launches, and training.
- Sales Processes: Develop and optimize sales processes and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness across the sales organization.
- Quotation management.
- Cost to Company (CTC) management, sales performance.
- Commission calculations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, and finance, to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Develop marketing campaigns in conjunction with the Marketing Department.
- Assist with the execution of campaigns, competitions, rollouts, store openings, etc.
- Identify and participate in trade shows, e.g., Electra Mining, Nampo, Decorex, Solar Storage, Future Energy, etc.
- Identify new products and suppliers, assist with negotiations and onboard suppliers and products.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and tracking expenses against targets.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports and insights to the executive team on sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing high-performing sales teams in the electrical industry dealing with:
- Wholesalers.
- Retailers.
- Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in sales analytics and performance metrics.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Experience with the following software tools:
- CRM.
- Microsoft Office including Power BI.
- Sales management tools.
