The Restaurant Manager is under the supervision of the General Manager and is primarily responsible for restaurant operations. The Restaurant Manager should be the hardest working person in the building! This role involves acting as the GM when the GM is not present and being the second-in-command when the GM is on-site. The Restaurant Manager must handle operations during shifts, develop strong working relationships with staff and customers, ensure excellent food quality, and cultivate an atmosphere of friendliness and fellowship in the store while being a culture ambassador. Operating with a tremendous sense of urgency and leadership is crucial as this position serves as the development ground for future Hat Creek GMs.
Other duties may include managerial tasks such as personnel development, conducting shift meetings, completing daily check-ins, training, interviewing, inventory, invoicing, employee discipline, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that Hat Creek SOPs are always being followed
- Help drive better food costs through minimizing waste and managing labor numbers effectively
- Maintain food quality, order accuracy, and speed of service
- Understand the scheduled staff for shifts and ensure proper execution of duties
- Ensure the restaurant is clean and organized according to Hat Creek standards
- Enforce all Hat Creek policies and procedures
- Ensure equipment and facilities are properly maintained and that all safety procedures are followed
- Delegate checklist duties, ensure tasks are completed, and checklists are submitted on time
- Ensure that prep sheets are utilized by staff
- Ensure inventory is available for the shift
- Provide excellent customer service
- Champion the company culture
- Coach employees consistently
