Qualifications
A global dynamic agricultural group is looking for a YOUNG and DYNAMIC Regional Manager in Western Cape reporting to Area Manager. Culture is young and dynamic and looking for a young and dynamic candidate. Preference given to BSc (Agri) or similar qualifications and experience in Agro inputs. Not an Office Role but a Field position with a track record and experience in managing young, dynamic and qualified individuals. Experience working in Western Cape and surrounds a distinct advantage with a passion for agriculture.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
- Understand how distributors are working: distribution system, organization, stock management, cash flow management, etc.
- Good knowledge of the farming sector: general agronomy, farmer’s practices, challenges faced by the sector, etc.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages P&L in his/her territory.
- Defines action plans, roadmap, sales campaign, etc.
- Leads and monitors the sales team in the assigned territory.
- Defines KPIs to evaluate performance of his/her team and gives appropriate feedback and support.
- Builds strong connections with distributors.
- Commercial focus. Able to define roadmap at short and middle term to meet company targets and beyond.
- Sets objectives with distributors.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit, with good general business analytic skills (basic financial, performance analysis & follow-up of KPIs).
- Good market knowledge. Understand the specificities of each area in his regions. Basic marketing knowledge (customer and market segmentation).
- Good understanding of the agriculture sector. Understand the connections between all stakeholders in the sector (farmers, distributors, retailers, extension officers, etc.).
- Strong leadership and people management skills. RM has a strong team spirit, as he/she continuously supports his/her team members in their activities.
- Comfortable and able to adapt his/her communication style to his audience. The RM will work closely with various key stakeholders in his region (distributors, farmers, VBAs, key influencers, NGOs regional offices, etc.).
- Candidates should be comfortable with MS Office and able to work with any tools (CRM) aiming at increasing efficacy.

Desired Experience & Qualification
REQUIRED EDUCATION: BSc in Agriculture and/or Business
Required Experience: 4-8 years’ experience in agriculture
