We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Business Development Manager to join our client in the engineering industry, with a specialised focus on power plants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a deep understanding of the power plant sector, exceptional sales skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and negotiations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends in the power plant sector.
- Analyse competitor activities and industry developments to inform strategic planning.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand the customer base.
- Identify potential clients and develop relationships with key decision-makers.
- Understand client needs and requirements, providing tailored solutions to meet their business objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels such as networking, industry events, and cold calling.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant.
- Business development experience within the engineering sector.
- Sales Background in products to the power-related sector within mining/ industrial manufacturing industries.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Strategic and sophisticated approach when solving complex manufacturing problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
