A client of ours is looking for a Junior Software Business Development Consultant who are passionate about sales, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to the growth of our company.
The primary responsibility of the Junior Software Business Consultant will be to generate inbound leads, make outbound calls, and execute cold email outreach to prospective clients. This role is essential in supporting our senior sales staff by scheduling meetings and building a strong pipeline of opportunities.
Candidate Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and results-oriented
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Strong research skills with the ability to gather and analyse information about potential customers
- Understanding of Ideal Customer Profile concepts and the ability to apply them in practice
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a related field is a plus
- Reside in or around the Pretoria / Jhb area
- Own Transport and a valid driver’s license
Key Responsibilities: - Inbound Lead Generation
- Respond to and qualify inbound leads through various channels including website inquiries, emails, and social media
- Effectively engage with potential customers to gather essential information and understand their needs

- Ideal Customer Profiling and Outreach
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential customers who align with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
- Gather essential information about the identified prospects, including their business needs, challenges, and decision-making processes
- Initiate personalised outreach to the identified prospects through various channels, including phone calls and email communication
- Collaborate with the senior sales staff to strategize and refine outreach approaches based on customer profiles
- Outbound Calls
- Conduct outbound calls to targeted prospects to introduce our products/services and identify potential opportunities.
- Cold Email Outreach
- Manage and track email campaigns to optimise response rates and engagement
- Meeting Scheduling
- Collaborate closely with senior sales staff to schedule meetings and appointments based on qualified leads
- Maintain a calendar of appointments and follow-up activities to ensure a smooth sales process
