Technical Manager – Design and ConstructionLocation: LiverpoolContract: Permanent, 40 hours per weekSalary: Competitive Company Department Overview: Our Energy Division deliver the design, construction, maintenance of a portfolio of projects in both public and private sectors. Sectors include health, education, commercial mechanical and electrical, decarbonisation, and PV works. It includes project works and undertaking planned, preventative & reactive maintenance.Primary Objective: The Technical Design Manager will lead a team of M&E designers and Sector Material Experts providing both pre and post contract support to the division and clients, including design and expert advice.Responsibilities:-The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following tasks:-Plan and deliver all design and advisory to internal and external stakeholders.-Manage technical resources within the Energy Division.-Manage appointed technical resources within and outside the organisation.-Develop and maintain competence and credibility.-Set and drive departmental KPI’s and challenge improvement.-Provide leadership, governance, and direction to ensure staff are kept safe, engaged, focused, developed, and delivering to their potential.-Contribute to the development of the energy division.Relationships: Effective candidates need to:-Maintain and build up a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.-Be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.-Communicate effectively with all other departments.Person Specification: To be successful in this role the Technical Manager will:-Technically competent, delivering relevant, compliant, and commercially acceptable technical solutions.-Understand the whole life project cycle.
