a Credit Controller. My client is looking for a strong
Credit Controller to oversee debtor accounts and ensure timely payment of all invoices.
The role aims to reduce business risk by overseeing active accounts and managing their credit terms and limits through timely payment collection. This involves meeting customer payment needs and professionally communicating outstanding balances, ensuring high-quality customer service while minimizing or preventing bad debt losses.
As a
Credit Controller, you will be responsible for the following:
- Perform telephonic and electronic collections for all amounts due.
- Meet a KPI of logging at least 32 customer contacts daily.
- Conduct regular customer visits to foster strong relationships and proactively prevent potential issues.
- Achieve a minimum of 100% of the monthly targeted collections.
- Investigate and log all queries related to outstanding accounts, follow up, and provide feedback to customers once resolved.
- Analyze overdue amounts to identify areas for improvement or problems that need addressing.
- Provide regular reports and feedback on problem accounts, escalating issues to the Credit Manager within set timeframes.
- Process and allocate all payments received based on the daily bank statement and deposit slips, in strict accordance with the customers remittance advice.
- Prepare journals with supporting documentation, and handle filing, record-keeping, and various administrative tasks.
- Effectively reduce bad debt and enhance collections.
Qualifications: Completed Matric
3+ Years experience in the same role
Credit Management II, BCom in Finance, or similar tertiary qualification in Finance. advantageous
