The purpose of the role will be to maintain financial records, manage daily accounting and support financial analysis and reporting. The successful incumbent will work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure financial transactions and reports are accurate.
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Record daily financial transactions
- Reconcile monthly bank statements and GL accounts
- Prepare and process journal entries
- Assist in tracking and analyzing costs
- Support preparation of cost reports and analysis to monitor expenses
- Inventory management
- Prepare financial reports
- Assist with financial statements and management reports
- Support budgeting and forecasting
- Assist in implementing and maintaining internal control, and recommend improvements
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Coordinate with vendors, customers and internal departments for accounting queries
- Finance administration and filing

Education:
- BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting
Skills & Experience:
- 2 to 4 years' experience in an accounting and analysis role essential
- Manufacturing / FMCG / Packaging industry experience is essential
- Strong costing of goods (manufacturing) experience essential
- Inventory / stock control experience essential
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
