As the
Head of M&A , you will be responsible for creating and improving intellectual property within the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) practice, which involves developing valuable knowledge, tools, or methodologies that can enhance the practice's effectiveness and value.
To help implement and advance the M&A strategy by transitioning the business from focusing solely on transaction support to a balanced approach, your responsibilities will include:
- Generate value by growing and improving the client base
- Make sure the division meets its revenue and profit goals
- Develop and be responsible for the division's strategy, including establishing objectives and key results for the M&A practice
- Oversee and nurture client relationships
- Ensure the highest standards of quality in the delivery of the M&A practice
- Cultivate, guide, and advance the skills of junior professionals in the team
- Must possess strong technical expertise and utilize practical market experience to direct the team in executing all engagements and drive overall performance across the wider team
Job Experience & Skills Required: - CA(SA)
- 8 years' experience in a Transaction Advisory, Investment banking or Private Capital role
- CFA with 10 years of experience in a Transaction Advisory, Investment banking or Private Capital role
- 5 years managerial exposure
- FMVA and/or other pertinent qualifications, such as CAIA, are advantageous
