Purpose of this role:
To provide financial planning and investment advice to an existing client base, i.e. to identify clients’ investments and lifestyle needs and objectives and provide the most appropriate investment vehicle/portfolio for them, whilst identifying potential new business opportunities that include both life assurance and investments.
Key performance areas:
- New business production – assets under advice, life cover policies and fees generated
- Retention of own client base – ensure that their client reviews (servicing) are not in backlog and minimise the loss of clients to external brokers
- Client engagement – activity based measure relative to the team. Measured by number of engagements with clients and feedback from clients
- Development of advisory and interpersonal skills - Includes telephone skills, call handling and record keeping. Calls are evaluated according to predetermined guidelines on conduct, ability to resolve queries as well as knowledge and ability to dispense advice and identify opportunities.

- Matric
- Tertiary qualification, i.e. BCom (majors in Financial Management, Financial Planning, Investments or Law), CFP
