EXTERNAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE (WORCESTER)
Join our dynamic team at DIESEL-ELECTRIC (CAPE)(RF) (PTY) LTD, a leading automotive wholesaler dedicated
to delivering exceptional service to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable
individual to fill the role of External Sales Representative at our WORCESTER Branch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate the benefits of DE Cape's products to drive sales.
- Act as a liaison between DE Cape and prospects/clients.
- Identify and educate prospective customers while supporting existing clients with product-related information.
- Manage a diverse customer base, including retail workshops, spares shops, diesel pump rooms, agricultural co-ops, fitment centres, fleet owners, automotive dealerships, and more.
- Expand and diversify the customer base while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
- Achieve monthly sales targets.
- Manage allocated areas, maintaining detailed call logs, and submitting daily and monthly reports.
- Proactively sell products and services, performing cost-benefit analyses for customers.
- Maintain positive business relationships to ensure buying patterns and future sales.
- Follow a structured call plan, aiming for 6-8 client visits per day.
- Visit a minimum of 1 new client daily and handle credit applications.
- Conduct gap analysis to ensure retailers maintain a comprehensive product range.
- Uphold the highest level of service and customer support.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints, ensuring prompt feedback.
- Maintain a regular presence at the customer level to ensure loyalty.
- Represent the company at customer functions/events.
- Implement promotional programs.
- Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
- Keep abreast of competitor information and communicate relevant details to management.
- Prepare strategic reports for clients on sales history and information.
- Stay updated on all product training and specifics.
- Perform additional ad-hoc duties as requested by the External Sales Manager.
Minimum requirements:
- Matric.
- Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle.
- Proven experience in sales in a similar automotive role.
- Excel proficiency required for generating comprehensive reports and visualizing data through graphs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of the industry and products is advantageous.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
