RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Inspiring, motivating, and encouraging a talented creative team around them, fostering a collaborative environment that leverages both conceptual strengths and retail knowledge.
- Championing the big idea from concept to execution, ensuring creative integrity aligns with our brand voice and retail goals.
- Developing content across various marketing channels, including website copy, email campaigns, social media posts, and product descriptions, all with a keen understanding of retail customer journeys.
- Ensure creative work is executed within agreed strategy, deadlines, and budget.
LEADERSHIP PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Providing real-time, ongoing coaching and feedback to team members throughout the year.
- On-time completion of performance management activities including regular 1:1s and Bi-annual performance reviews through GPS.
- Supporting employee development including facilitation of career development conversations and crafting development plans for current and future needs.
- Taking action to hire and retain high-performers and address poor performance.
- Proactively manage change initiatives within the team including sufficient planning/ preparation and communication to minimise disruption and support employee adoption.
- Role modelling the behaviours that support and drive the Flash culture and value.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 6 – 7 years of advertising agency experience as a copywriter, including experience in thought leadership, brand messaging and co-ordinating the rebranding of a company or companies. (Preferred)
- BA degree or Higher diploma in Creative writing.
- Perfect written communication skills.
- Have experience working at an advertising agency or an in-house agency.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing as a whole within the South African cultural landscape.
- A track record of exceeding targets and an award winning portfolio to demonstrate this and that showcases memorable creative work.
