Main Purpose of Job: Perform service centre inventory control duties.
Required Minimum Education: Matric.
Required Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of Administration experience. Inventory control experience is necessary. Good communication and organizational skills. Must be fully computer literate in Microsoft Word (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).
Key Performance Indicators:
- Inventory Control Management: Ensure every spare part requested from workshop is on a requisition.
- Create spare parts quote on Omni Accounts system.
- Allocate delivery note on the job.
- Ensure old spare parts are received from repair person when issuing new spare part.
- Receive spare parts as ordered.
- Generate GRV on Omni accounts.
- Manage daily spare part movements against allocations.
- Maintain housekeeping and labeling of spare part codes.
- Conduct cycle and yearly stock counts.
- To improve stock availability to 95%.
- To track outstanding spares orders.
- Maintain a spares activity report.
- Reduce qty of spares older than 180 days.
- Review process of spares at all times – ensure spares are sold within agreed GP %.
Administration:
- Prepare and issue Top 150 (fast moving) spares report to management – daily.
- Generate adhoc reports as and when required.
- Assist with other administrative duties as delegated by your Superior.
- Timeously respond to customer enquiries.
- Keep track of all backorders for customers/branches.
- Keep branches informed on all spare shortages/issues.
- Supervise stores personnel.
- Prompt unpacking and binning of spares on arrival (2 days turnaround).
- Maintain bin changes.
- Conduct weekly random checks for accuracy of pickers.
- Ensure stock takes are managed and prepared within the allocated time frame and minimize losses to agreed parameters.
- Ensure correct documentation is on hand before stock is released from warehouse.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
