Main Purpose Of Job
Control and manage transport administration processes and assist with order processing and IT activities.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
Debtor Management.
- Process and batch invoicing and Profit Journals.
- Process Credit Note applications to be sent to Central Accounts for processing.
- Photocopying and scanning of POD's for files.
- Dispatch Invoices and POD's to clients.
Creditor Management
- Forward original Creditor Invoices to Central Accounts for processing.
- Photocopying of Creditor Invoices and file allocation.
- Resolve Creditor invoice queries when required.
Ability To Perform Ad-hoc Tasks Requested By Management
- Perform any other reasonable tasks that may be assigned to you at discretion of Ops Manager and MD transport.
- Execute daily IT activities where necessary.
- Supply daily schedules / ETAs to specified clients.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when sharing information.
- Ensure that your own work area is always kept neat and tidy.
- Ensure adherence to the guidelines set out in your employment contract (timekeeping, telephone and internet usage, dress code, etc.)
Education
- Grade 12 required.
- Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management would be advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience working in the Transport / logistics industry.
- 3 years administration experience.
Skills
- High level of computer literacy in MS Office Suite.
- Intermediate Excel.
- High level of numeracy.
- Excellent communication oral and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
