An Assistant Manager vacancy has opened in the offshoring division of Forvis Mazars International Services within the Forvis Mazars Gqeberha office. This division works primarily with our offices in the Netherlands and services a broad spectrum of clients in the corporate and financial services sectors. The division operates in a hybrid business model.
The purpose of this role will be to perform audits for international clients and to assist on other audit engagements locally and internationally. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the overall audit quality standards are met for all engagements and managing junior staff. Supporting business development and building client relationships with our business partners and customers will also be key aspects of the role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute and finalise audit engagements within budgets and time frames
- Produce client reports (annual financial statements, minutes, certificates, and report to management)
- Liaise with Partners, Staff and Clients on all aspects of the engagement
- Ensure the latest statutory knowledge is applied and undergo any required training
- Maintain effective client relationships
- Monitoring and evaluation of performance in relation to budget
- Participate in business development efforts including targeting, lead generation, proposals etc.
Minimum Requirements:
- Completed audit articles essential
- Qualified CA(SA)
- 2 - 3 years’ post articles experience
- International experience and previous experience with a big four firm advantageous.
- Proficient in preparing financial statements and other financial reports
- A thorough knowledge of IFRS and ISA standards
- Proficiency in MS Office with good working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point.
- Must be able to plan, execute, and supervise the execution of fieldwork and finalisation of audit engagements
- Experience in the real estate industry advantageous
- Understanding of the Dutch or Afrikaans language advantageous
