My Client, a market leader in the Fruit Export Industry, seeks to employ an experienced Key Account Manager with a strong commercial background in export table grapes. The ideal candidate must be capable of supporting the company’s dynamic and fast-paced environment and have the ability to operate in a diverse team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Support the commercial team with development and implementation of marketing plans and procurement strategies.
- Manage fruit export programmes to meet customer expectations and requirements.
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship with growers and clients.
- Be actively involved in the harvest season – visiting pack-houses, conducting quality checks, identifying markets (local/international), and identifying any risk areas.
- Manage stock and debtors.
- Update price files on a regular basis.
- Receive fruit export programmes from clients and allocate orders according to pack-house estimates.
- Liaise with clients for regular updates on volumes packed versus the programme.
- Administer grower payments.
- Assist the quality department with claims – local and “on arrival”.
- Support the Logistics department.
- Handle reporting and general administration.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification with at least 4 years’ experience in a commercial environment.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the commercial and logistics of export table grapes.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
