The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Threat and Risk assessments
- Client liaison and professional client relationship
- Manpower management
- Equipment management
- Effectively dealing with and managing client complaints
- Ensure that contractual requirements are met at all times
- Incident and investigations Management
- Ensure compliance to the Company’s disciplinary code
- Initiating and chairing disciplinary hearings
- Ensure all company SOP’s are followed
- Health and Safety Management
- Ensuring Security Officers problems that are reported are solved
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed at all times
- Completion of daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Ensure training takes place when required
- Assisting with shift changes as a standby manager
- Must be able to attend meetings with Regional Operations Team
- Conduct Monthly Special Operations
- Attend monthly meetings with Law Enforcement Agencies
- Attend Quarterly meetings with SAPS Provincial Commissioners
- Engage on a regular basis with Cluster Commanders
- Engage with Local CPF’s and Property owners with regards to Risk and Incident Management
- Monthly Security status report to Regional ME
- Internal security awareness to all (Contractors/Employees) to truly become an ambassador for National Security
- Advise Business units on Security Risk or High Risk Sites through preventions and clean desk sweeps
- National Security Project Management
Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:
- PSIRA certification – Grade A
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Relevant experience as a Contract Manager or similar position would be advantageous
- First Aid and Fire Fighting training will be advantageous
- Extensive knowledge of good security practice covering the physical and logistic aspects of information products, systems integrity and confidentiality
- Risk analyzing skills would be advantageous
- Must have confidence in dealing with the public
- Bilingual (English and any other South African Language)
- The ability to communicate and present at all levels
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS office
- The ability to work under pressure
- Willing to work long hours
- Must be willing to undergo polygraph test
- Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record
- Own reliable transport and driver’s license
