General IT Support Responsibilities:
- Setting up new computers in line with company standards.
- Upgrading of computers.
- Maintaining computers – cleaning out dust.
- Making sure users have up-to-date software.
- Checking that users are not abusing their IT access.
- Troubleshooting and fixing on-site computers as well as supporting remote users with IT-related issues.
- Resolving printer/scanner issues preventing staff from printing/scanning.
- Setting up new printers.
- Carrying out basic maintenance on printers.
- Resetting and setting up Ubiquiti Access Points on the Network Controller.
- Keeping printer toner stocked up.
- Keeping the equipment register up to date.
- Setting up work mobile phones.
- IT procurement – getting quotes for new laptops/computers, upgrades, etc.
- Setting up mobile LTE routers.
- Providing over-the-phone support to remote users.
- Liaising with ISPs and vendors to escalate internet/application issues.
- Basic understanding of networks and network troubleshooting.
Office 365 Support Responsibilities:
- Identifying and fixing issues with Outlook.
- Fixing Excel issues.
- Resolving OneDrive sync issues.
- Setting up users with their Office 365 access once their profile has been created.
