We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Management Officer (PMO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and implementing large-scale software projects and systems, with a focus on driving successful project delivery, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycle for large software and systems implementation projects.
- Develop and maintain project management plans, including scope, budget, timelines, resources, risk, and communication strategies.
- Oversee the coordination of project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Implement and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and tools to ensure effective project execution.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, including status updates, risk assessments, and issue resolution.
- Engage with stakeholders to manage expectations, deliverables, and project progress.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and organizational objectives.
- Monitor and report on project performance, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Continuously improve project management processes and practices to enhance project delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in large software projects and systems implementation.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in IT or software development environments.
- Familiarity with change management and business transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and systems integration.
