Job Title:
Standards Manager
The Standards Manager will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations within the organization. This role will involve developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and processes to meet all relevant standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular assessments to identify gaps in compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Develop and implement strategies to address any non-compliance issues
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that all departments are meeting relevant standards
- Keep up to date with changes in standards and regulations that may affect the organization
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all requirements
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on relevant standards and regulations
- Monitor and report on compliance levels to senior management
Requirements
- ND/Degree in Safety or Risk Management
- Proven track record in the underground mining environment
- Electrical/Mechanical Trade Test Certificate is advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities
