We are looking for an exceptional and talented individual to join our team as a Demand Planner. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in controlling the client’s stock levels and reducing waste through excellent sales analysis.
Core responsibilities of the role include:
- Demand Planning
- Analysis of sales & waste data
- Analysis of stores sell-through
- Comply with waste management processes & procedures
- Base ordering on sales history & budgeted targets
- Achieve positive growth targets per store per line
- Ordering & Allocations
- Ensure all orders are placed to meet workbench run-times
- Allocate promotional stock accurately & achieve deadlines
- Regularly update Senior Demand Planner and Buyer
- Ensure store rosters display correct articles on the correct day & confirm rosters
- Place manual purchase orders
- Ensure all site order proposals are converted
- Manage emergency orders
- Identify promotional articles and check promotions and sales history
- Determine growth factors
- Conduct post-mortems on promotions
- Check stock levels during promotions
- Administrative & Reporting
- Compile reports on waste and sales figures for Senior Demand Planners and Buyers
- Follow all SAP procedures, including:
- Setting and maintaining replenishment parameters for stores & forecast models
- Setting and maintaining planning calendar and lead time for standard weeks and special event weeks
- Actioning daily checks on master data new items, reinstate items, and updated status changes
- Ensuring forecast supports sales and stock plans
- Adjusting forecast on exception based on trends
- Managing forecasts due to seasonal changes and special events
Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma / NQF Level 5
- Minimum Experience: 2 – 3 years in an FMCG Administrative Role
