Mount Edgecombe. Opportunity exists for Debt Recovery Operations Manager with a strong background in operations, data management and process optimisation to join leading debt collection company. Will suit strategic thinker who is highly analytical and focused on operations with strong leadership and team management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of non-call centre debt recovery operations, ensuring that processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company goals
- Manage internal and external debtor tracing efforts, ensuring seamless coordination with external service providers
- Lead the credit listing process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
- Supervise bulk communications to debtors, ensuring messaging is consistent and compliant
- Lead a team of internal staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to maximise their performance
- Utilise data analytics and spreadsheets to monitor, measure, and continuously improve departmental performance
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, focusing on key metrics, process improvements, and strategic recommendations
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing operational processes, particularly within the legal, financial services, or debt recovery sectors
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent data management and spreadsheet skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in coordinating with external service providers while managing internal operations
