Job Title: Sales Consultant
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Salary: Market Related R15 - R25000 based on experience.
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Consultant to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating quality leads, converting them into sales, and maintaining long-term relationships with clients. This role involves a mix of telephonic, email, and face-to-face interactions, participation in trade shows, and collaboration with various departments to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate quality leads by making contact via telephone, email, and face-to-face and turning them into opportunities for sales.
- Generate leads relating to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and other sales/tender related portals.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking sessions to generate leads.
- Assist walk-in customers and attend to incoming calls.
- Receive sales enquiries and provide quotations, product/service information, drawings, support, and pricing.
- Capture customer information, including addresses and phone numbers, for future follow-up.
- Process estimates, sales orders, and purchase orders.
- Convert leads to sales through good communication, follow-ups, and a positive attitude.
- Build long-term relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and address their needs.
- Follow sales strategies and achieve monthly targets.
- Create a positive and lasting relationship with suppliers.
- Pay attention to competitors and their activities within the industry.
- Ensure that all administration relating to sales is efficiently completed.
- Work closely with other departments and find opportunities to cross-sell/upsell.
- Demonstrate advanced product knowledge and involve management in product knowledge initiatives.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction with products.
- Always look for new ways to make products attractive to customers.
- Help improve brand awareness and social media presence with the marketing department.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to develop and implement new sales strategies.
- Meet with other associates and sales consultants to discuss innovative ways to effectively sell to customers.
- Care for company tools provided and adhere to company policies regarding their care.
- Build rapport with customers through friendly, engaging communication.
- Ad hoc duties.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to generate leads and convert them into sales.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Good understanding of sales processes and strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales-related software.
- Willingness to participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking sessions.
