Sales Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements and demonstrating how our products meet their needs. You will act as the drive for sales research and approach.
You will be compiling and providing sales packages and self-engaging communication to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical: Include and provide your technical knowledge as support to the sales team, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and answering customer inquiries.
- Tender: Research suitable enquiries within our industry and provide mindful feedback for efficient selection.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with management to ensure that customer feedback is integrated into product improvements.
- Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, proposals, and sales materials to support the sales process.
- Customer engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar technical sales role.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical solutions within our industry.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant or similar industry or job function.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Projects, and general MS tools.
- A degree in engineering or computer science; extended sales experience in the field is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in sales in the water and wastewater industry, electrical engineering, switchboard manufacturing, automation, etc.
- Strong project management skills to coordinate technical sales efforts.
