Key Purpose Statement

Principal Accountabilities
Academic Delivery (40%)
- Keeps abreast of future-focused educational trends, incorporating them into teaching and learning practices aligned with Crawford Pillars.
- Implements the school curriculum and strategies for engaging, inspiring, and differentiated learning.
- Plans, prepares, and delivers lessons to meet the needs of individuals or groups of students.
- Enriches teaching and learning through technology and engaging teaching practices.
- Prepares classrooms in accordance with lesson plans and 21st Century learning practices.
- Ensures effective academic and emotional support to enhance teaching and learning.
- Collaborates with members of the learning community.
- Assists with additional offerings, duties, and events at the school.
- Participates in professional development tools and strategies.
- Shows commitment to lifelong learning and attends appropriate development/training.
Academic Assessment and Reporting (20%)
- Assesses and records students' progress continuously and keeps records updated.
- Meets academic standards defined by Central Academics and Crawford International Academic strategy.
- Monitors student performance and progress, using data-driven decision making.
- Completes reports for parents and Principals throughout the year.
- Participates in moderation and standardisation processes of formal assessments.
Student Behaviour Management (10%)
- Manages student behaviour by establishing rules and procedures.
- Promotes the well-being of students through mentorship programs.
- Provides guidance and advice to students and parents.
- Identifies students with barriers to learning and informs appropriate personnel.
School Brand Ambassadorship (10%)
- Demonstrates the Crawford International mission statement.
- Acts as a role model regarding work ethic and professionalism.
- Contributes to the effective operation and management of the school.
- Promotes the ethos of the school both internally and externally.
Administration (10%)
- Adheres to timetable requirements and ensures effective implementation.
- Plans for excursions and liaises with service providers.
- Keeps the learning space as a dynamic learning environment.
Health & Safety (10%)
- Observes and supervises children in activity areas.
- Applies medical support as needed and reports incidents.
- Creates awareness of personal safety and social issues among students.
Competencies

Minimum Qualification
- Degree (NQF level 6) and PGCE or B.Ed (Intermediate/Intersen or Senior Phase or Foundation Phase).
- Willingness to be a generalist rather than a specialist when teaching.
- Understanding of IB PYP (An advantage).
- Police Clearance.
- Valid SACE certificate.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
Minimum Experience
- 3-5 years Teaching Experience.
