This highly celebrated international and well-travelled Japanese Chef will be featured in a number of Television Series to be filmed in South Africa from October / November 2024 at the Stellenbosch Studios.
ProStaffSelect are in search of a highly polished and creative SOUS CHEF with extensive experience in fine dining Japanese / Asian cuisines for the launch and filming of this innovative cooking series which also features guest appearances from well-known South African Chefs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Well mastered skills and expertise in a wide range of Japanese & South East Asian Cuisines .
- Minimum 4-year experience within a specialist Japanese Restaurant or Fine Dining environment .
- Friendly and outgoing personality with communication skills in ENGLISH to assist during filming.
- Must have good personal presentation skills and be confident in front of the camera .
- Highly knowledgeable about Japanese cuisine production methods, ingredients & techniques .
- Ability to teach and train studio hands / junior chefs in the art of Asian Cuisines to assist others on team show events.
- Confident to engineer and create menus & recipes and to initiate changes at short notice.
