Duties & Responsibilities
Strategy
- The creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance, in order to improve operational, financial and overall business outcomes.
- Plan, manage and evaluate operations liaising with all relevant stakeholders, drivers, suppliers, service providers and customers.
- Ensuring all business operations are conducted within the required industry standards and company policy, as defined and legislated.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities, whilst also removing waste and/or unnecessary steps in our processes.
- Ensuring all systems in place are used effectively, appropriately maintained whilst ensuring the availability of all required reports and documentation.
- Ensuring all business is conducted within legislation, to include but not limited to compliance with the Health and Safety regulations.
- Support new business initiatives, projects and contribute during review meetings and ensure whatever improvements and/or changes are successfully implemented.
Financial Budget And Control
- Ensuring all Company assets are maintained and safeguarded at all times.
- Develop and implement a strategic business plan and financial budget for the business in order to ensure growth and a sustainable cash flow.
Reporting
- Provide the necessary reports, to include but not limited to reports on achievements, spend vs income and profit, staff movements and whatever report that may be required.

- Compliance with whatever regulations/legislation.
- Proactively work to ensure and/or create a good team atmosphere, whilst driving a culture of customer orientation.

Desired Experience & Qualification
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics/Business/Supply Chain or any other relevant qualification.
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role, 3 years of which must be at Managerial level.
- Must be computer literate.
- Strategic thinker, able to plan independently and execute.
- Working knowledge of the relevant IR legislation, policies and procedures.
- Ability to analyse and manipulate data to provide meaningful information and solutions.
- Clear Credit and Criminal Record.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
- Customer service orientated individual and must be able to pay attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to engage at all levels.
- Must have good contactable references.
