Responsible for recording and maintaining records for the Signature Brands Finance and to support accountants in providing a full financial accounting service to Signature Brands including Company owned stores.
Reporting
- Assist in doing variance analysis on Income statements versus Budgets.
- Provide general ledger detail transaction and SEI Income Statement reports to team.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Signature Brands team.
Accounting functions
- Prepare Capex requests for approval.
- Prepare Asset disposal requests and rotate for approval.
- Preparing and posting of journals.
- Fixing of any historical errors when required.
- Preparing of GL account structure application for approval.
- Preparation of Petty Cash disbursements and reconciliation thereof timeously.
- Preparation of card reconciliation and journals for fleet cards.
- Performing Signature Brands division cashbook reconciliation.
- Record and maintain Fixed Assets Register and asset movement.
- Assist accountants in performing annual asset verification.
- Download and check IT travel invoice batches for accounts payable payments.
- Preparing of support schedules to management accounts.
- Ensure AP risk list is cleared monthly and assist with supplier queries.
- Manage open purchase order and follow up on administrators processing invoices.
- Assist Financial Manager with input and calculations of Financial Budgets and Profit Forecasts.
- Daily cash recons on company owned restaurants.
- Attend monthly stock takes at company owned restaurants.
Audit
- Assist with supporting documentation and reports for year-end audit files.
- Assist with internal audit requests.
Formal Education
- Matric
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting (or relevant qualification)
Experience
- At least 2 Year Bookkeeping Experience.
- Computer skills - MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- SAGE X3 ERP experience would be an advantage.
- IFRS knowledge.
