We are seeking a dynamic Dispatch Manager to oversee our distribution and transportation operations in Montague Gardens. In this role, you'll manage a team of 25-30 staff, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehouse environment.
- Computer literate with strong mathematical skills.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Code 8 driving license and own transport.
- Ability to work flexible hours and handle operational challenges effectively.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and evaluate all logistics operations.
- Supervise and motivate staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
- Oversee dispatch, including route planning, vehicle loading, and staff coordination.
- Manage receiving operations, ensuring accurate documentation and quality control.
- Enforce food safety, quality, and health & safety procedures.
- Monitor fleet maintenance, vehicle inspections, and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized dispatch area, ensuring effective housekeeping practices.
