POSITION PROFILE
TITLE: Junior Bookkeeper / Migration Administrator
DEPARTMENT: Accounting REPORT TO: Office Manager
1. DUTIES:
Responsible for the migration of several companies (Body Corporate and/or Home Owners Association) accounts (cash book and general ledgers) from one property management system to another.
2. KEY DUTIES:
- Cashbook function
- Accounts receivable and Credit Control function
- Accounts payable function
- General ledger reconciliation
3. DUTY DESCRIPTION:
- Cashbook function:
Captures and allocates Cashbook data for several companies (Bodies Corporate + HOA) bank accounts. Prepares monthly bank reconciliations and related General Ledgers Accounts. - Accounts receivable and Credit control function:
Process Accounts Receivable payments in correct accounts. Responsible for managing Accounts Receivable balances within defined company payments terms. - Accounts payable function:
Oversee work of Managing Agent. Review Accounts Payable reconciliations and related General Ledger reconciliations. - Month end provisions & general ledger reconciliation:
Processing and month end provisions and reconciliations of general ledger.
4. WORK SPECIFICATION:
Skills:
- Proven proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Formal post-matric qualification (degree or diploma) in accounting/auditing
- Competence in Pastel and similar accounting systems
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Knowledge of WeconnectU is a plus
5. REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal post-matric qualification (degree or diploma) in accounting/auditing
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Preferably 25 to 35 years old
6. KNOWLEDGE:
- Competence in WeconnectU and other accounting systems
