The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing support to the finance department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, and maintaining financial records. This role requires strong communication skills (written and verbal), strong organizational skills, and a commitment to high levels of integrity and confidentiality of Pargo’s financial operations.
Your responsibilities include:
- Data Entry and Record-Keeping -
- Accurate and timely recording of bank transactions in accounting software.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Onboarding new clients: Credit checks & account creation in Xero
- Generate and remit invoices to clients.
- Follow up on outstanding accounts;
- Manage collections and customer queries
- Parcel Insurance Administration:
- Overall responsibility for insurance claims process - submission of claims to the third party insurer; following up on required documentation from client for approval of claim and batch payment of the claims.
- General administrative support
- Maintenance of supplier banking information.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
- Experience with accounting software Xero is advantageous
- Comfortable working with and maintaining confidential information
- Proficiency in online banking systems advantageous
