Your main tasks include:
Conducting regularly spend analyses (e.g. with Buy:spend) in order to derive/adjust the focus on the Spend categories to be managed Ensuring efficient and effective procurement guidelines for the area, adjusting the global standard where necessary Ensuring supplier-neutral specification of required goods/services to be provided by functional unit and checking and ensuring - where applicable - LH Group synergies in concrete project Analyzing applicable market powers and suppliers of the relevant supply market in collaboration with functional unit Calculating and reporting the Savings generated in the area’s procurement projects Actively contributing to best practice exchange among procurement activities
* Participate in other duties as assigned
To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:
Bachelor's degree required Master's degree desirable At least 5 years of experience either in airline industry, in procurement or ideally in both; similarly suitable experience would be in e.g. Controlling, Supplier, Relationship Management or Business Analysis required Experience in working internationally is a must Fluent knowledge of English both written and spoken required Good knowledge of MS Office and GDS Willing to travel within the region Working under time pressure with several people/units to coordinate Negotiating with international suppliers with inter-cultural challenges Must possess legal work permit in South Africa
