Project Engineer Position
Global provider of highly engineered products and technologies is looking for a Project Engineer for the Varese / Novara area. The Energy Engineer will be hired within the Commercial Department of the Service Division and, after an intense period of technical and commercial training (in the HQs and in the field), will be responsible for the profitable growth of Service Business in the assigned areas (EMEA, LATAM, APAC, depending on previous experiences).
He/she will build key customer relationships (End Users), identify business opportunities, develop, negotiate, and close business deals, and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions, driving profitable sales and backlog’s growth in line with business targets.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop the pipeline of new business coming into the service organization, prospecting for potential new opportunities and clients and turn this into increased business.
- Identify (i) potential customers and the decision makers within the client organization and (ii) opportunities for service’s campaigns that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the Service’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Understand and respond to customer requirements in request for quotations that are within the scope of service.
- Define all Service requirements to be included in products/contracts/solutions for Service.
- Establish the cost base and specifications for Service’s products.
- Prepare commercial proposals for service opportunities.
- Coordinate Functions (Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, HSE, Quality) during proposal preparation and follow-up.
- Communicating intensively with clients, sub-contractors, and vendors to establish cordial/effective working relationships.
- Develop and maintain customer relationship, leading to increased Customer Satisfaction, service contracts backlog, as well as sales from new products and services.
- Support and secure that the Service organization responds to customers’ needs and captures sales opportunities across the Service functions.
- Attend meetings and in contract negotiations with customers and/or vendors.
- Drive the negotiation with customers.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Energy Engineering.
- Fluent in Italian and English; German nice to have.
- Self-starter, highly motivated, energetic.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team.
- Possesses critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving, relational and communication skills.
Location: Milano Nord / Varese Sud / Novara area. The willingness to travel extensively is mandatory.
