Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives and long-term vision.
- Financial Management: Oversee all financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Operational Excellence: Drive operational efficiency by implementing effective financial controls and processes across the organization.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the executive team and Pepkor board of directors to align financial goals with overall business strategy and communicate financial performance and forecasts.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate risk, ensuring the company's financial health and stability.
- Innovation: Lead initiatives to leverage technology and data analytics to enhance financial performance and decision-making.
- Enterprise Thinking: Collaborate with key stakeholders in the business to deliver on the overall financial objectives set by the company.
- Leadership & Culture: Enable & promote our Sikhula KhunYe culture and values of honesty, passion, and resourcefulness. Provide inspirational leadership to the Finance division.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Executive leadership experience in a finance role for 5-10 years is required. Proven experience as a Head of Finance or CFO within the retail sector is preferable.
- Education: CA (SA) prerequisite.
- Skills: Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, entrepreneurial skills; leadership skills; proven track record of building a high performance culture, strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
- Attributes: Passion for one’s craft, agile and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
