Duties and Responsibilities:
- Researches and develops new technical solutions (Electronic, Embedded).
- Designs and programs embedded systems and prototypes for testing.
- Manages R&D projects, including cost analysis, BOMs, and project planning.
- Proposes new technological advancements and implements process improvements.
- Designs electrical/control systems, PLCs, and computer applications for projects.
- Manages project plans, provides progress updates, and ensures compliance with policies.
- Supports breakdowns and maintains operational technical equipment.
- Conducts feasibility studies and statistical analysis to improve processes.
- Updates process documentation, develops checklists, and initiates process improvement projects.
- Keeps up with technological advancements to drive innovation and cost-saving initiatives.
- Operates within controls to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
- Identifies risks, maintains a risk register, and ensures the availability of documentation.
- Monitors and reports on risks, minimizing waste and ensuring cost control.
- Maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolves problems in a timely manner and ensures compliance with SLAs and regulations.
- Represents in meetings and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Contributes to budget preparation and promotes efficient use of resources.
- Monitors expenditure, ensuring it stays within budgetary limits, and explores cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (NQF 7).
- Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite, SAP, ERP Systems, and job-specific software systems).
- Knowledge of Production, Process Engineering, Operational processes, and related systems.
- PLC, HMI, and Control Systems.
- Embedded Devices (Micro-controller, microprocessors).
- Programming (C/C++, C#, Python).
- Electronic Designing (Multisim, Ultiboard, MatLab).
