We’re seeking to grow our team of renovation project managers, grow our contractor community and build out processes & systems to help us bring this vision to life.The roleReporting to our Head of Build, you will play a pivotal role in refining how we cost our build projects, coordinating scheduling of contractors for client works, and ensuring delivery of high quality work to our customers within budget and on time. This role is based 3 days a week out of our office in Old Street.Your responsibilitiesWork with our planning and design teams to price and validate construction costs associated with our internal renovationsWork with product to input cost estimates into our costing database, validating line items of work to build a more efficient and accurate construction costManage a set of projects, conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, reviewing build quality, address issues and queries on site, manage site teams to budget, timeline and quality requirements. Coordinate and collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.Manage and validate construction costs and requests for additional charges from ongoing projectsBuild knowledge and expertise related to construction costs and processes, contractors and build processes: support sales efforts as needed.About youEssentialDemonstrated experience working as build construction cost estimating either through prior construction or QS work Demonstrated construction stage experience on site in residential renovations with a focus of leading projects from their inception to their successful handoverStrong process focused, strong communicator, demonstrated ability to work with end customers and contractors.Understanding of construction methods, materials, quality standards and regulationsAbility to read design drawings, check measurements and understand site conditions. Experience in solving site issues, compiling snag lists and managing successful handovers to project completion. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.Good knowledge of Google sheets or Excel, using formulas and developing spreadsheets (not macros etc).Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.DesirableA personal interest in sustainability and creating a greener environment is a plus.Our cultureHaving a positive impact and cultivating a positive company culture are important to us.
