Main Tasks and ResponsibilitiesEnsuring that Health, Safety and Environmental standards are maintained throughout the delivery of workDay to day management of the mechanical maintenance team, including but not limited to:Assigning work packagesProgress chasingManaging priorities and arising maintenance requirements from operational areasEnsuring work is closed out within the maintenance management systemTimekeeping, holidays, disciplinary mattersWork with the Maintenance Planner to develop job packs and maintenance scheduleInterface with mechanical contractorsFirst line problem solving for arising mechanical faults or work delivery problemsContribute to continuous improvement activitiesEnsure that all Environmental, Health & Safety requirements are met during the execution of maintenance tasks.Safety – Ensure work is carried out safely and as per company guidelines.Quality – Ensure job right first time, minimise rework on equipment by working to quality and performance standards.Report any accidents or near misses as required by our health and safety policy.Supervises the maintenance mechanical technicians, directing them on mechanical breakdown repairs in accordance with the site priorities.Support projects/changeovers when required.Liaise with external OEM contractors to plan stat inspections and work alongside the Maintenance planner to plan future PM tasks.HNC Mechanical Engineer/Technician or equivalent Time served Mechanical apprentice with a minimum of 5 years’ mechanical experience
