Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm, is looking to hire an Associate Business Development Manager (ABDM) for the assigned territory. This position will be responsible for generating subscription revenue from new logos in the industrials sector within the Nordics.The ABDM will focus on selling subscription services to targeted customers under the supervision of the Head of Industrials, UK & Nordics.This position will be an integral part of Oxford’s growth plans for EMEA and is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company at the forefront of the industry. The key responsibilities within this role are as follows:Sales Initiate and close sales of Oxford Economics subscription services, typically through phone sales, webinars and meetingsDevelop and implement strategies for top-of-the-funnel activities to generate leads and build initial interest among potential clients.Create and execute strategies to sell Oxford Economics subscription productsResearch, create and implement sales plans for assigned sectors/territory in alignment with the overall regional business planThorough market analysis, identify key companies in the territory, key individuals within companies, and establish relationships with the purpose of closing salesCoordinate sector business development initiatives and build a pipeline for the respective sector or countryMaintain a knowledge of global economic and business trends to facilitate conversations with prospectsDevelop a strong knowledge of the subscription products and become proficient at providing demonstrations of the servicesCreate sales presentations and lead webinars and meetings with prospective clientsInternal CommunciationPrepare weekly sales reports to be shared with senior managementCommunicate opportunities, challenges and feedback to rest of immediate teamEnsure details and outcomes from meetings and calls are recordedAssist or coordinate where required with the training of junior team members or new startersRecord and share insight and learnings on the prospects, and leads and share with rest of the teamLiaise with Marketing on invites for webinars and eventsMarketing and Product EnhancementsFollow up on marketing campaigns to sell various subscription servicesHelp organize, and where needed manage marketing events to raise brand profile and increase sales opportunitiesProvide feedback and suggest product improvements to product teams, based on client interaction and competitor analysisSkills and Experience: RequiredA proven, demonstratable sales track record, with at least 3 years of experienceExperience in selling in a B2B environmentMust be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at onceCandidate must have strong presentation and writing skillsMust have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerpointMust be a self-starter, with the drive to set and reach ambitious goalsMust be a team playerExperience selling to Nordic marketsFluent English is a must, fluency in one of the Nordic languages is a major plusSkills and Experience: DesiredEconomics or international affairs degree or masters, postgraduate degree is highly preferredResearch, economic or business sales experienceExperience selling to information specialists and executivesPhone sales and online meeting experience along with face to face sellingExisting contacts at global companies, ideally in the Nordic regionExperience of managing others is a plusOxford Economics is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
