The successful candidate will be a salesperson who has a proven track record of B2B sales of a high volume (large number of clients). You will be responsible for proactively seeking out new clients in ecommerce and managing client relationships with those clients and prospects. You will be the go-to salesperson for client’s Search, a new market offering that helps online stores capture reliable address data from their customers. This has been built using client’s extensive knowledge of property and location data in South Africa. Your clients will be the online stores themselves and e-commerce platform providers.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Achieving your individual target
- Working with non-Search sales team members to understand where their clients may benefit from Search
- Working with non-Search sales team members to understand where Search clients may benefit from non-Search products
- Working with the Search Product Development team to understand the product features, nuances, strengths
- Setting up and driving sales meetings with prospective clients
- Writing your own high-quality proposals
- Updating value propositions
- Developing and managing account plans
- Accurate scoping and Contracting from templates
- Sales Administration, billing oversight and other duties that may be assigned from time to time based upon the requirements of the organization
Client Service - Actively driving the deployment and adoption of Search with any clients you sign up.
- Excellent customer service and owning the client
- Gathering feedback and testimonials.
- Attend conferences and client functions as and when required
Qualifications/Requirements - Appropriate tertiary education – degree-educated
- Knowledge of geo-spatial technologies will be advantageous but is not necessary
- Valid drivers’ licence and own reliable transport
- Reliable home internet
Experience You should have 5+ years of sales experience with a strong ability to listen to what customers need. You should also have experience and maturity in dealing with business owners. Experience in selling and/or deploying API solutions will be a great advantage.
Technical Skills - Full competence in Microsoft Office suite
- Basic knowledge of e-commerce and logistics processes
