Minimum Requirements: - Grade 12
- Finance / Accounting Degree
- Articles preferred
- At least 8 years finance experience
- At least 5 years experience in a management role
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Understanding GAAP and IFRS
Duties and Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis: - Develop and manage comprehensive financial plans, forecasts, and budgets.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead the budgeting process and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Improve reporting standards and refine financial forecasts.
Financial Operations: - Oversee finance department operations, set goals, and implement frameworks.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Liaise with auditors to maintain financial monitoring.
- Reconcile bank accounts, manage asset registers, and update lease and loan records.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
Tax and Compliance: - Submit and maintain statutory and SARS returns on time.
- Ensure compliance with e-filing requirements.
- Load and co-approve payments to suppliers.
- Report payments to senior management.
Financial Reporting and Analysis: - Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Highlight key financial metrics and operational performance.
- Analyze production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost control measures and monitor their effectiveness.
- Work with manufacturing teams to optimize inventory management
Financial Controls and Risk Management: - Establish and maintain robust financial controls.
- Safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Lead and mentor the finance team.
Strategic Support: - Provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic business decisions.
- Oversee the implementation of financial systems and tool
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): - Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
- Adherence to financial policies and procedures
- Achievement of financial targets and objectives
- Effectiveness of cost control measures
- Compliance with regulatory requirements
- Employee satisfaction and development
