We are looking for a competitive sales representative to develop sales strategies and attract new clients. The ideal incumbent must have a proven track record within the sales industry; at least 5 years customer liaison experience and the ability to build on exisiting and grow new client base. A valid SA Driver’s license and own transport is essential.

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS
The incumbent will be required to perform various tasks inherent to the position such as:
- Achievement of volumes and value of sales targets for account customers
- Establish and maintain a customer / supplier relationship to promote turnover and profitability
- Maintain a sound and professional relationship with clients
- Maintain and increase the Client Portfolio by identifying the needs of the total territory and area within his/her responsibility
- Ability to liaise and communicate with Clients at all levels
- Promotion of and pricing of products offered by the Company to Customers
- Accurately preparing sales quotes for customers
- Pricing of tenders with assistance from technical staff, where required
- Correct allocation of zones for accurate customer pricing
- Collects and collates market intelligence as a contributing factor to strategic information and provides information to the market
- Addressing and resolving customer queries and problems
- Sales administration: following up on quotes and tenders daily with both sales staff and customers / general marketplace
- Liaise with plant managers & internal sales WRT competitor / market information according to customer requirements
- Assist and provide the commercial manager with information regarding the setting up of sales action plans
- Sales Budget: forecasting and controlling
