My client in the mining sector is looking for an IT Commercial Support Services/ Commercial Services Support on a contract basis

About the Role
To ensure the appropriate digital infrastructure, systems, processes, policies and resources are in place and aligned to meet the short- and long-term technology demands of the company considering all applicable legislation and best practice principles. The incumbent will manage the daily ICT Commercial activities of the operation in a responsible manner
The appointee should:
Be in possession of a relevant Tertiary Qualification (Diploma / Degree)
- Have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the ICT environment with a 3-year proven track record in a senior supervisory level preferably in the mining or related industries.
- Preferably be ITIL-certified or have previous working knowledge of ITIL processes.
- Possess a sound technical understanding of:
- Cloud Architecture and Management
- Data Centre Architecture and Management
- Server Systems Architecture and Management
- Network Architecture and Management
- Network Security, Firewalls and Anti-virus systems
- Backup/Restore Procedures and Disaster Recovery Management
- Workstation Management
- Information Systems Security Management
- Incident, Problem and Change Management
- Vulnerability and Patch Management
- Integration of ICT systems
- Project management tools, methods and techniques
- ERP Systems
- Mining Systems
- Have experience of working with ICT Outsourcing partners
- Have knowledge of the ICT landscape within the region (vendors and service providers)
- Be declared medically fit for the position and the environment, as determined by the risk based medical examination at the relevant company Occupational Health and Safety Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening Test
